Research live: How to sustain tutoring in a post-ESSER world

NWEA presents a research-focused webinar with Dr. Ayesha Hashim (NWEA) and Dr. Amanda Lu (Georgetown University) who will discuss findings from a study conducted in collaboration with the National Student Support Accelerator on district pathways for sustaining tutoring after federal recovery funds have run out.

The webinar will also feature a panel of district leaders sharing their insights into how to sustain tutoring programs in the post-COVID era.

Dr. Ayesha Hashim

Senior research scientist at NWEA studying a wide range of topics including the integration of technology with standards-based instruction, school choice and accountability, teacher professional development, and COVID recovery.

Dr. Amanda Lu

Education policy researcher and assistant teaching professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy, Georgetown University. Her research examines the conditions needed for high-capacity public school systems. She was a high school math teacher in New Orleans, LA.
